Elia Pacioni is a PhD student at the University of Extremadura and a research assistant at the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO Valais-Wallis).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Automation Engineering from the Universit\u00e0 Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) and two Master’s degrees from the University of Extremadura (M\u00e9rida, Spain): one in Research in Engineering and Architecture, specializing in Information and Communications Technology, and another in Technology Innovation Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He began collaborating with the GEA Group in 2022.
Elia was awarded as the best student in both the Master’s programs in Engineering and Architecture and Technological Innovation Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, he was nominated as an outstanding student at the Evostar conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his doctoral project, supervised by Prof. Francisco Fern\u00e1ndez de Vega, he addresses the problem of 4-part harmonization using evolutionary algorithms.
His research interests include evolutionary algorithms, federated learning, and computer vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
